Ford Escort WRC (Street version) by UT Models

This car is a further development from the Ford Escort Cosworth, to enable it to be competitive in the World Rally Car category of international rallying, hence it's name of Escort "WRC". It differs from the earlier Cosworth in having twin front headlights, a smaller rear wing and has a different front spoiler. It also has twin roof vents which on the competition versions could be opened to allow extra ventilation for the driver and co-driver. From 1999 onwards the Escort was replaced by the new Focus WRC as Ford's main rally contender.

UT make this model, and personally I think it looks great. It has a nice silver paint job, and good looking wheels. The bonnet opens to show a turbocharged four cylinder engine, which in the real thing produces around 300bhp and drives all four wheels through a sophisticated all wheel drive system. The doors open too, but the rear tailgate does not. In common with many UT Models it does not have detailed brakes which is the weakest area of the model.
