Ford Mustang GT "Bullitt" 2001 by AUTOart

Ford Mustang GT Bullitt 2001 by AUTOart

Introduced in 2001, the "Bullitt" Mustang was intended to capture some of the glamour associated with the highland green 1968 Mustang GT390 driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 movie of the same name. In addition to the highland green paint (although you could also have one in blue or black) the Bullitt Mustang had a set of Torq Thrust D-Style wheels similar to those on the 1968 car (and they look superb!). An aluminium fuel filler and smaller rear windows completed the exterior cosmetic make-over for the 2001 Bullitt version.

Inside, the cabin has perforated black leather upholstery, a leather steering wheel and an aluminium gearshift knob. The instrument gauges are black on white faces.

Under the hood, the Bullitt Mustang has a slightly uprated version of the 4.6 litre Mustang V8 giving 265bhp.

AUTOart make this model of the Bullitt Mustang, and it is a great looking model indeed. The wheels, tires and brakes are superbly reproduced, especially the brake discs which are made from photoetched metal and look amazing. Overall it gets 80%.
