In 1999, Jeep introduced a new Grand Cherokee replacing the previous version which had been on sale since 1992. The Grand Cherokee is a handsome 4x4 with a five door bodystyle and the prerequisite chunky wheels and tires. Although it is not as large as some of it's rivals (the Ford Expedition springs to mind) it is still a large heavy vehicle. A big engine is necessary then to endow it with good on and off road performance and to that end it has a 4.7 litre V8. The interior is as luxuriously appointed as an executive saloon and has lots of creature comforts including climate control and leather seats.
AUTOart released this model of the Grand Cherokee in 2001 and it is a quality piece. All doors and hatches open and the interior and engine detail are good. The paint work is high quality and overall it is another great model from AUTOart. Hence it gets 8/10 marks.
