This beautiful Cobra 427 roadster is meant to represent the car driven to 10th place overall in the 1966 12hrs of Sebring by drivers Bob Grossman and Ed Lowther. It has superb silver paint, and accurate looking race day decals, but has one glaring mistake! The real car had a full windscreen and not the small drivers aeroscreen seen here on the model. Kyosho also made a dark blue racing Cobra 427 which has a full windscreen, which I think should have been used on this model.
Otherwise it is a great model which captures the muscular look of the big block Cobra's and as mentioned before has nice silver paint and race stripes. Kyosho's Cobra range has been around for some time now, and so is not as detailed as their latest efforts. This is noticeable in the lack of engine bay detail and basic interior detail (although the real car had a spartan interior to begin with).
Despite the inaccuracy of the windscreen, I think this is a great looking model and until Exoto or some other company decide to do a 427 racing Cobra, it is the best one available. It gets 6/10 marks.
